THURSDAY 10th MAY 2012.

24 members attended the meeting held in the Lions Club Rooms at Ferrymead Park.

Images by Angela Iwikau and Len Rhodes were voted best equal in the photo competition with an image taken of an insect... These images can be seen on the web page. Well done to you both. There were 8 photos in the competition. I encourage all members to enter the competition as it is a lot of fun.

Next month photo competition is images  taken on the field trip to the Groynes. Details below.

Also a slide show of your photo taken on the field trip.

Jill Abrey demonstrated using Photoshop elements 2 and the clone tool on how to remove a wire fence that was spoiling a photo taken at Orana Park recently.

Lester demonstrated a number of batch files to rename and reduce the size of photos using Irfanview.

A number of fun videos were also shown.

In all a very good and interesting meeting.

FIELD TRIP

As there are 5 Thursdays in May a field trip to the groynes is planned. The date is the 31 May 2012. Travel to the groynes at a time to suit you and turn left at the ranger’s house at the roundabout and travel down to the car park area. Take photos as you wish and we will meet at the ROSEBANK ESTATE at 11am for a muffin and a coffee. Please advise Lester by email if you plan to attend so that he may order sufficient muffins to be available
