| We started the session with a couple of
videos. Mike Archer showed us a DVD called “Mediterranean Magic”. A
lot of work went into producing and editing this DVD. A good choice
of background music and an excellent narration, a very professional
job. Well done Mike and Ellen. We look forward to yournext effort.
Next up, I showed a video made by an 11 yr old schoolgirl. She had
made a video of the Earthquake in Christchurch and the Tsunami
inJapan. The images came from the internet and captured on her iPod
and she used Windows Movie Maker to put it all together. How do you capture the images while talking on Skype ? One way would be to capture the images with Irfanview. (Open Irfanview - go to Options > Select Capture/Screenshot and set up the Capture Options. Then tap Ctrl + F11 each time you wanted a Screenshot). What is the easiest way to trim some background music to a specific length so that it can be used in a slideshow ? We demonstrated the process using Audacity. Another challenge was how to transfer music and photos to/from a Smartphone. Bluetooth was suggested. Easier said than done ..... continued next month… Colin Clark Music & Video SIG Co-ordinator |
